hello,

my stm32f4discovery board started not working without connecting external 0-5V power supply to GND and 5V pins.

when i plug usb only, nothing happens, none of the leds light. if i connect external power additionally, it connects to pc and i can even programme mcu.

all of this happened after shorting two pins unintentionally while making connections.

how can i solve this problem?

thanks.

Figure out which parts in the power supply path you have destroyed and replace them. Get the schematic and a multi-meter/scope.

Do you see a fuse in the schematic? I'd look at D1 as the first candidate for silicon evaporative protection.

Here's the schematic/manual if you're having a hard time finding it.
