STM32L151 split powering analog and digital

Hi,

though I know that ST recommends using the same supply for analog (VDDA, VSSA) and digital (VDD, VSS) there are reasons in my application that make me want an extra analog supply. (My STM32L151 does not have external Vref-pins)

What can happen and how can I help it? Two antiparallel schottky diodes between VDDA and VDD? Other things?

Any information and help ist welcome

Thanks

Martin

I think that the requirement is really, ''A maximum difference of 300 mV between VDD and VDDA can be tolerated during power-up and operation.''

ST's guidance suggesting using the same supply for VDD and VDDA is confusing (what's the reason for having VDDA then?), perhaps they mean to say derived from a common source.
