Run ST-Link utility - check the firmware freshness - the current is : V2J28S7

Check cables.

What exactly is the context here?

What board? What chip? What type of ST-LINK? How is it connected? Did it work and then stop?

Can you access chip if BOOT0 is pulled High?

Does your code go into low power modes, or reconfigure GPIO/SWD pins?

Tips, buy me a coffee, or three.. PayPal Venmo Up vote any posts that you find helpful, it shows what's working..

I looked into:

http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/release_note/98/de/c7/1b/08/82/44/38/DM00107009.pdf/files/DM00107009.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00107009.pdf

'On ST-LINK/V2 boards, update the firmware to the version

V2J27S6'

so assumed that st-link is V2 version.
