LSM9DS1 data sheet says that the FAST_ODR mode enables magnetometer data rates higher than 80Hz. How do we specify this data rate?

LSM9DS1 magnetometer in FAST_ODR mode is said to give output data at greater than 80 Hz. But can we specify this ODR ? What should I do if I want an ODR of 100 Hz ?

If the FAST_ODR bit is set the ODR is set according to operation mode, see following table:

Hi Miroslav,

Thanks for the response. However, I have 2 questions.

1. Where is this table documented?

2. In LP mode, we expect the ODR to be less since greater ODR means more consumption of power. But this table shows the opposite. Why is it so?

Unfortunately the table is missing in the LSM9DS1 datasheet so you can't find it there.

The operating modes of the magnetometer are differentiated by performance not by power consumption. So in Low Performance mode the number of averaging is less so the ODR is higher, on the contrary in ultra high performance mode number of averiging is high and the final ODR is lower.
