MKI109V3 board compatibility with MKI173V1

Hi,  my question:  Is there a specific COM driver and specific GUI revision that I must download for this to work?

I recently bought a MEMS mainboard STEVAL-MKI109V3 and board for LIS2DS12 p/n MKI173V1.   Here is the link :

I installed the SW.  Unfortunately the MKI109V3 virtual com port will not load.  When I plug the board to my USB port I cannot find the driver.  (I installed VCOM 1.3 and 3.0) 

Plus on a second system I managed to get the VCOM driver installed and the GUI works but I get the error message 'the device ID does not match the part' when I select MKI173V1 from the Unico GUI.

For the Virtual COM port driver please use this driver

is LMS303AH not LIS2DS12.
