I'm making about Triacs T1635-700G-TR to control motor, light. But I dont know detail about it. What is this IC integrated?

I really need circuit about Using this IC. I'm read datasheet about this IC. But dont have circuit or example. Please help me about this IC.

Hello Tinh

Triacs are AC switches used to drive AC loads on AC source.

Then the standard circuit is the load in series with the Triac and the AC source. Connect the load to A2 Triac pin and the Line to A1 pin.

Regarding Triac triggering, the gate must be supplied with current (like bipolar transistor). For example, your T1635-700G is driving the load when a 35 mA of current is flowing through the gate to A1 (called IGT in the datasheet).

I advise you some ST documents (application note) to learn more about Triacs for a first approach:

    - AN4363 : How to select the Triac, ACS, or ACST that fits your application (basics of Triac)

    - AN441 : Inductive load control with AC switches (your case)

    - AN3168 : Non-insulated SCRs & TRIACs control circuits (to define the Triac control circuit)

Let me know if you have some question
