Any plans for low pin-count STM8L devices?

Occasionally we have need for a 6, 8, or 14-pin MCU.  For instance SOT23-6 or leadless devices to conserve board space.  Up until now, PIC10 and ATtiny have been the only choices, but it's good to have some other options.  The STM8L's 12-bit ADC, DAC, and 16-bit PWM would be particularly useful.  So can we expect to see a low pin-count STM8L sometime in the future?

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

For the moment the smallest STM8 package is SO8 with STM8S001J3 reference.

Search the web for 'STM8L001'; you'll find a first mention of such a device in a ST presentation from 2012, and current information from this month that such a device will probably be released by the end of this year.

Raisonance released RKit-STM8 v1.66.17.0191 today.

One of the new features is STM8L001 support.
