What, exactly, is the problem ?

Have you tried UM1727, the 'Getting started' manual ?

Thanks for the reply, actually I just want to program my custom board with stm32f103c8 chip using stlink v2 programmer but i'am repeatedly getting the error message ' target not found ' what will be the possible causes for the above.

'Target not found' means the ST-Link works, but the programming/debugging tool cannot connect to the target.

What tool you talk about ?

Settings are correct (ST-Link, SWD) ?

Checked the voltages at the target supply (VDD) according to the schematics ?

Some jumpers pulled that need to be set ?

Before I forget it - had it worked before, i.e. could you have blown it ?
