Hi All,

We have a requirement with the following communication interfaces:

  1. Local RS232 communication
  2. RJ45 for remote communication (Ethernet SNMP Interface)
  3. RJ11
  4. 4 line display

This communication MCU shall be interfaced with the main MCU.

Any suggestions on selecting the communication MCU please..

Thanks,

Ijaz Fazily

RJ11 is simply a connector type - it tells us nothing of the function(s) you want to use it for.

Apart from a list of interfaces, you haven't said anything about what this MCU actually needs to do!

Have you tried the product selection tools:

Dear Andrew,

Following are the refined interface requirements:

  1. Built-in Ethernet support
  2. UART
  3. SPI
  4. EEPROM
  5. External Flash
  6. 4 line character LCD
  7. Firmware update feature

This module will be used for remote (Ethernet SNMP interface) / local (USB-TTL serial cable) monitoring of some industrial parameters. We do have a PC application. LCD display along with buttons used for monitoring/control/programming parameters. Events log has been kept in the flash.

These parameters shall be fed to the MCU from the SPI connected module.

Request your suggestion for selecting the MCU module.

Thanks,

Ijaz

Most posters here are volunteers, not ST employees.

Ask ST directly (via FAE or distributor), or do it yourself.

Don't expect others to do your job for free.

So have you actually tried the tools I linked earlier?

Hello,

If you have any suggestions I appreciate it. Otherwise don not spam my query.

If you have any suggestions I appreciate it.

Do it yourself.

This is an ESSENTIAL skill for an embedded engineer.
