Hello

I bought stm8s003f2 mcu instead of stm8s003f3.

The seller told me that it is same as stm8s003f3, after getting it, i tested stm8s003f2 on my custom board by using stlink/v2, but it is not works and there is no way to program my firmware. it always pop up the “ the device is protected message.

So I found stm8s003f2 is not exist on datasheet, there is no stm8s003f2 as part number. is it exist? i want get official reply from ST, is it possible?

Hello Simon,

Device named stm8s003f2 doesn't exist. I confirm that correct MCU is stm8s003f3. Just to be clear about the codification, the last character refers to Flash size: 2 means 4kB and 3 means 8kB.

Devices with similar name, which exist, are also

stm8s

1

03f2 and

stm8s103f3. They belong to regular STM8 lines, while stm8s003f3 belongs to Value Line STM8.

Szymon

Thank you for reply it.

I misunderstood the part-number, yes the partnumber is STM8S103F2.

Thanks,
