Hi everyone,

if You open AN926 Application note (pls see attached),

You will see a marking format for SOT package:

ZZZ W

Should not the year be marked? is not there a mistake in document?

I have a parts (pls see photo) from Arrow and their engineers can not answer this question.

I cant read the marking, what does it read ? D01 E7 ?

E7 looks like 2015- week 7  manufacture date.

it is a very old document, factories shut down and new ones appear,

the Laser cut TopMarks are different from every factory.

I wouldn't worry about the markings too much, but be very concerned where you bought the part.

I only use Arrow, Or Digikey, guaranteed to be original factory parts. not counterfeit

however, at the bottom of that document...

Would have taken a minute to crop and size the photo.

D81 E7

Would suggest E (Week 9-10) 2017 or 2007, assume the former

Hi dear

Turvey.Clive.002

and dearT J,

thank You a lot for your help.

I think the same:

it can be

2015- week 7 and

it can be

(Week 9-10) 2017 or 2007

But there should bea document where we can find the date codes. I think it's common information and most of

manufacturers publish it.

And there isthe document (attached in my 1st message), yes it's old (2008) but I can not find another one. Therefore I ask ST engineers to help me.

Regards.

Hmmm ... not useful:

Perhaps

Kling.Brian

‌'s ''

internal resource'' could also address that one ... ?
