We use  P-NUCLEO-53L0A1 via STM32 Eclipse workbench for debugging our application program on ranging sensors;

we find this SW package can not be working on IAR version v7.40.1.8742 and also we use Eclipse IDE

but we get failure logs as attached file;

Can someone help on this? whether target ST-link setting for Debugger is wrong?

Please clarify exactly what IDE & toolchain you are using.

Are you trying to use the IAR compiler from Eclipse?

Hi Andrew,

From attached log, what u can see  is that in Ecipse it seems not to detect HW well when flashing.

- I have a demo module as en.X-CUBE-53L1A1 for ranging sensor test.

- Both IAR env and System Workbench(Eclipse) are not working:

  1. First refer to manual UM2046 for installing Eclipse (execute STM32 workbench for IDE )

      got failed log as the attached screen-shot.

  2. Install IAR version as described last post, it shows IAR version is old.

the workspace folder path is as below,

en.X-CUBE-53L1A1\STM32CubeExpansion_53L1A1_V1.0.0\Projects\Multi\Examples\VL53L1X\SimpleRangingExamples

by using EWARM for IAR or SW4STM32.

I may use Eclipse instead of IAR, so can anyone help clarify what the problem is in Eclipse.

I use USB cable simulate as ST-link for usage in Eclipse.

Btw, my PC system is windows 10 64-bit system.

But I didnt find any install file of workbench for windows 10.

I only can find it for windows 7. Is it the reason?

Problem has been solved.

I think some users may have same problem as below:

Hi ST expert,

Currently we would like to apply ST ranging sensors for our application device and we customer may need to

get more help from forum like before we did with Cypress/Broadcom vendors.

So if any detail help from our questions, we will be looking forward to it.

Coz I found that we didnt get enough help from ST platform till now.

thx
