The Main processor will be a high-end STM32, but I need to bring some data across a 'difficult' isolation barrier, and one very easy way to do this would be to have a cheap processor on the 'live' side of the barrier, measuring various things and streaming the data, Manchester encoded. This would mean I could use a low-cost, high spec pulse transformer to get all the data across the isolation barrier, at low power and high speed. For this application I do not need a return channel.
