Created in 1966, INSA Rennes is the largest engineering school in Brittany. The Institute ranks among the best post-graduate engineering schools in France.
The National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rennes proposes a post-baccalaureate engineer training in 5 years, accessible to all levels, from a baccalaureate + 4 degree.
Member of the INSA Group, the first network of public engineering schools in France, the institute is recognized for its training and scientific research in two centers of excellence:   
- Science & Technology of Information and Communication (STIC)
- Materials, Structures and Mechanics (MSM)
