Hello, i have an STM8L1526 board, and i don't success to connect with my computer. I use ST visual develop but it doesn't work. I want to use the STM8L152C6 to drive some of led on extern electronic plateform ( prototype). thks for your help
When performing multiple write block operations the device is freezing. I am unable to recover the device without a manual power off reset. I believe my code is correct. Could this be a driver issue? I am using IAR. Any help would be appreciated. Please see my code for this below: /* Define flash programming Time*/ …(Show moreShow less)
"I believe my code is correct. " It would be a wonderful world if code works just because we believe in it. "Could this be a driver issue?" Possible but not probable. When reality collides with your beliefs, it is a better strategy to check and recheck your beliefs.
Hi, I got the STEVAL-ISA164V1 board from Digikey. I need to program STNRG388A controller with ST-Link v2 using SWIM interface. I have tried ST Visual Programmer with the whole list of STM8 controllers one by one, but ST-Link is unable to recognize the connected device. Please tell me, how can i upload firmware(.hex) file in STNRG388A. I need…(Show moreShow less)
well, I am facing the same issue...... I have STEVAL-ILL077V1 ..its not connecting, and the green led is not blinking on the motherboard... I tried to program it through SWIM using ST-Link v2, but did not get any luck...
Hi, I feel like I've been through the reference manual a million times, but I cant figure out how to get my project into low power mode. I'm driving a LCD screen with a counter on it. I have two external switches to wake up count up and down. And I'm using timer4 to hopefully wake up periodically and do some work. I need two low power modes,…(Show moreShow less)
Thinking about going to 32 bit? The time is now! Join ST for a 1-hour webinar on how to move to 32-bitsFriday, April 20, 2018 from 11:00 to 12:00 Take advantage of the new advances that make it "easy" to program 32-bit microcontrollers, benefit from their cost-effectiveness and add new features to your application. This webinar will help…(Show moreShow less)
By now, most of the bits for a fully free development environment for the STM8 are in place. Some might need a bit more polish, or a few more features, but work is progressing. Not everything has been relased, or made easy to use, but that will happen with time; most of the necessary hard work is done. Of course, there is still room for hard work…(Show moreShow less)
Interesting project. I was planning something similar but than a gang programmer. I did not start with this project jet, and your firmware on the STM8S003 could be of great help for me. When are you publishing this project ?
Dear all, First I would like to thank you for any help that you might give me. My purpose is to flash an empty code in the uC (STM8AF5288TAY) but its always says "lost SWIM communication". After analyse of our self designed board, I remarked that the problem might come from the NRST pin of the uC. There is only a condensator connected to…(Show moreShow less)
When you reach the state STVP from your screenshot: - unplug you board to make sure the MCU is not supplied anymore - force the RESET low and keep it low - apply the supply without releasing the RESET - now click the button on the message window - then and only then release the RESET If you succeed to connect that way, make sure to…
I downloaded the selector tool, but there is no indication of which micros support an external crystal. I am interested in knowing if any of the valueline parts support an external crystal. Ideally, the 8-pin device would support it for my application. Does anyone know which devices support an external crystal? Thanks Rich
Chip:STM8S001J3 The UART Of Alternate function after remap RX is in PIN1，TX is in PIN5 The program has never been interrupted, RXNE has been 0. What is the reason why you want to ask? My configuration is as follows: OPTION BYTES： AFR0：Alternate Active AFR1：Alternate…(Show moreShow less)
Look here: STM8S001J3 UART remap . The question is the same and the answer is: no answer. Not a valid solution has been presented. I made many attempts with interrupt, polling and various tricks, but nothing happened. Without the remapping, all works fine. It would be nice if some technician from ST would clarify the question. The STM8S001…
Yes, I have created the account but don't see anywhere to reach out to ST other than this forum. We called all the listed numbers in Shanghai and they were not helpful at all. The receptionist says we need to give her the name of our contact and since we don't have one so we're stuck. The engineer will go to their office and see if anyone can help…
